INTRODUCTION
A control cable does not carry the load. It carries the instruction — and a panel is only as dependable as the wiring that tells it what to do. Pymen Cables manufactures multicore PVC insulated control cables to IS 1554 (Part 1), 1100 V grade, for switchgear, control panels, and process plants across India.
Where our cables go, commissioning goes faster. Cores are identified strictly according to the standard — sequentially numbered along their length or colour-coded as per the identification scheme — so a technician terminating a 24-core cable in a crowded panel can identify the core without having to ring it out. This discipline is applied at the extrusion stage and verified before every despatch.
CONSTRUCTION
- Electrolytic-grade annealed copper conductors, stranded for easy dressing and termination inside panels.
- Heavy-duty PVC insulation to IS 1554 (Part 1) — Type A rated at 70°C and Type C heat-resistant PVC rated at 85°C.
- Cores numbered sequentially or colour-coded according to the identification scheme of the standard.
- Cores laid up with non-hygroscopic fillers to form a firm, circular assembly, with an extruded inner sheath.
- Armoured with galvanised round steel wire or steel strip, or supplied unarmoured for protected routes.
- Tough PVC outer sheath, with FR and FRLS compounds available on requirement.
APPLICATIONS
- Control panels, switchboards, motor control centres, and switchgear interconnections.
- Substation control, protection, metering, and annunciation circuits.
- Process plant automation, PLC and instrumentation loops, and machine control wiring.
- Interlock, signalling, and remote indication circuits between field equipment and control rooms.
- DG sets, pump houses, compressor rooms, and HVAC plants.
- Steel, cement, refinery, chemical, textile, and power generation installations.
- FRLS grades for metros, airports, hospitals, data centres, and high-rise buildings, where control cables share enclosed shafts with occupied areas.
